Coordinated Campaign: Out of State Organizer

The 2024 Nevada Democratic Coordinated Campaign is seeking Out of State Organizers. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to building the coordinated campaign working to elect President Biden, Vice President Harris, Sen. Jacky Rosen, and Democrats down the ticket.

Role Overview

Out of State Organizers will recruit and build relationships with Out of State volunteers and organizations to grow capacity for the coordinated campaign. OOS Organizers will and will report to the Deputy GOTV Director for OOS. These roles will be based in Nevada and will require in person work.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute an Out of State volunteer recruitment program
  • Identify, recruit, train and retain a diverse group of volunteers from across the country
  • Organize a variety of events, in person and virtually
  • Perform other duties as needed 

Required Qualifications 

  • Ability to work independently and as a cohesive member of a team in a fast paced, metrics-driven work environment
  • Ability to track and report data in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner
  • Great organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends as necessary 
  • Commitment to developing and fostering an inclusive environment open to individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and must live in or be willing to relocate to Nevada

Preferred Background and Experience

  • One cycle of organizing experience and/or familiarity with managing volunteers is a plus
  • Familiarity with Votebuilder/VAN

Salary: this position pays $17.58/hour and $26.37/hour for overtime, approximately $57,135.00 per year based on a 55 hour/week work week. Hours are expected to exceed 55 hours a week as Election Day gets closer. Other benefits include 100% employer-sponsored healthcare, dental, and vision insurance as well as travel and cell phone stipends.
