Coordinated Campaign: Paid Programs Manager

About the Position

The Nevada State Democratic Party is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Paid Programs Managers to help lead our Election Ambassador Program! The primary responsibility of Paid Program Managers is recruiting, training and managing a team of paid high-school-aged canvassers.

Paid Programs Managers report directly to the Deputy Paid Programs Director. Paid Programs Managers are responsible for constantly developing and growing their canvass teams in order to build support for Biden-Harris and to help elect Democrats up and down the ticket this November.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Manage the paid programs components of our field office spaces
  • Manage talent pipelines, office recruitment, hiring and administrative issues for your office space
  • Possess the ability to comfortably manage multiple canvassers at any given shift
  • Conduct in-the-field training with canvassers on a regular basis
  • Lead trainings to constantly develop and improve canvassers
  • Identify, train and develop leaders and trainers within your staff 
  • Manage turf, turf cutting and overseeing turf tracking with your Deputy Paid Programs Director
  • Oversee your office’s scheduling and hour-tracking
  • Conduct all necessary data input on a daily basis 
  • Requires flexible and long hours, especially in the height of the campaign season

Ideal Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience organizing on Democratic campaigns
  • Experience with managing paid employees a plus
  • Experience with managing voter contact programs a plus
  • Experience with VAN a plus
  • A core desire to develop leaders and build people up
  • The ability to speak compellingly about campaign issues and inspire others
  • Excellent communicator and problem-solver
  • Competence with G Suite
  • Familiarity with Nevada

Benefits and Compensation

  • Full-time, salaried position at the rate of $5,500 per month through November 15th 
  • 100% employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance

Location and Travel

This is a full-time position requiring in-person, on-site work in Las Vegas, Nevada, running through November 15th, 2024.  We encourage all qualified applicants to apply, especially Nevadans.  There is no relocation budget for these positions.  Access to a personal vehicle is a plus.
