NVDems: Election Ambassadors

The Nevada State Democratic Party is seeking current high school students for employment opportunities through November of 2024.

The role of the Election Ambassador is to be out in the public, on your feet, knocking on doors in an assigned area, and engaging with local residents about the upcoming November election.

Election Ambassadors will receive training daily, and no experience is required. The schedule is flexible with shifts available throughout the week. This job is a great first step in a career path for any Las Vegas high school student wanting to break into paid political work and launch their career! Election Ambassadors are paid weekly, and there are bonuses and leadership opportunities available for high-performing Ambassadors.

Requirements

  • Current Nevada high school student
  • Comfortable working in public
  • Be outside in neighborhoods in various conditions and temperatures
  • Walking door-to-door and being on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to talk to people and make people feel comfortable talking to you
  • Comfortable learning about and discussing the serious issues facing voters in November
  • Arrive on time. Please arrive early enough to be ready to work when the shift begins.
  • Possessing the ability to ‘stay on script’ and to consistently deliver the key talking points
